We start our new life on the road.

As is normal for this time of year, it goes from dusk to dark pretty fast which is when we was driving Admiral Ackbar from the dealership to the storage unit.

That is a terrible time to discover that you forgot to have the windows cleaned which is something that you noticed earlier in the day, but in all of the confusion, you forgot to mention it.

You have plenty of time to think over this mistake now that every time any kind of light hits the side windows, you are completely blind and can’t even see the mirrors due to the glare.

Whatever, I can clean window’s, I’ve done it before, no reason to bitch right?

Today was the first dry sunny day we have had in a few week’s, so it is a perfect day to clean the exterior and interior windows. Which we do, and yet both side windows are still impossibly dirty and when the sun is shining I still can’t see the mirrors.

This can not be good. Nope. Not good at all.

The good news is we learned something new. Namely that the side windows are doubled paned. The bad news of course is that the side windows are double paned and the “dirt/grime/fog” is inside the double panes.

That ruined my day.

We have already planned on taking Admiral Ackbar back to have some slide out sealing issues addressed while it is still under warranty this Monday, so we called to address this and was told it will be around $350 per window. The day got worse.

We had a discussion regarding why this wasn’t addressed before we bought it letting them know we just assumed it was dirty, we had no idea it was doubled paned, etc. And we was told we will talk out a resolution on Monday.

Ok… Monday it is.

Today we went to Admiral Ackbar with another load of items, and while my Big Red Wife was fixing the furnace, I was cleaning around the bed. When I leaned across the end of the mattress, I felt a “stinging” sensation high inside left thigh, I look and see a metal rod sticking out so the “mattress frame”.  Joy.

A few minutes later I felt something running down my leg, and now I have a nice pair of butterfly stitches!

WINNING!

This cost me 2 butterfly stitches!

Nothing will make you panic faster then “seeing the weather will be below freezing in just a few hours and realizing you have not yet drained the water heater for the RV parked outside at a storage unit that we just started using and do not yet know their gate hours on a Sunday night.”

Lucky for us, the gate was still open at 6:50 pm.
