Purdue coach Joe Tiller will retire after next season and be replaced by new associate head coach Danny Hope.

Hope was 35-22 in five winning seasons at Eastern Kentucky. He was an offensive line coach on Tiller’s staffs at Wyoming and then Purdue, before leaving the Boilermakers after the 2001 season. In 2007, Hope led the Colonels to a 9-3 record and the Ohio Valley Conference title and was a Football Championship Subdivision Regional Coach of the Year.

Pauline and I actually meet Coach Hope while he was still an assistant; she has met him many times when she worked near campus. We were flying to Dallas for a porn party and he sat next to us while he was on a recruiting trip. Real laid back and cool guy.

Rumors started last week that Purdue was looking at the offensive coordinator from Wisconsin and he would be the next coach, so all week long I have been thinking… what kind of team will he bring since his teams are not spread offense like Purdue has ran since 1997. Which, I couldn’t decide if that was good or bad. Purdue was the first in the Big Ten to run the spread, but we never got the real players we needed to make it work as it should. Brees was good at it, but still not the “ideal” Spread QB while someone like Tim Tebow of Florida is that kind of player…. but fuck I hate that guy.

So I think this is good. I am not sure if Tiller really wanted to retire, or if he was asked to retire, but it is time, but I just hope I don’t regret losing Tiller which will happen the first time we miss a bowl game under Hope.

We survived

Wilma didn’t do crap to us, nothing more then a tropical storm here, but it really fmessed up Ft Lauderdale and Miami and south FL. We have a lot of friends down there who may not have power for a month, and I still cant get a hold of them on their cells, so I in the dark on their situation.

Site Reorganizing

It is not allowing me to update the changes I’ve made to the site. So Harold is reorganizing my folders & files. There will be a lot of dead links into I figure out where we have everything on the servers.

It is now clear out as the sun goes down and 67degrees. It is the beautiful fall weather that I love. So other then my site not updating, all is right in my little corner of the world. =)

Sunshine & Pics

Well, the winds really slowed down around 3pm & now the sun is out. It is going to be cooler then usual, thankfully, for the next few days. I’m going to enjoy that. =)

I finally got some of our pics done up from the weekend trip :
Niagara Falls and Buffalo (I tried to get some fall pics, but they didn’t come out as pretty as it was)

A Hurricane Day Off

Well……….we just had a few power bumps and seemed to have lost internet connection…..at least it is….it is on and off. Our pool looks to have a bunch of tree debris on the bottom of it. We pulled the truck into the garage to protect it, but our luck has other ideas. The attic cover (a piece of dry wall) fell on to my truck and busted. It doesn’t look that there was any damage just the irony of it.

The eye is now in the Atlantic, we have about 1-2hr left of it. A friend of ours lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area and said it was the worst she has seen. She has her generator going.

We had a tornado touch down across town. Found out it was in my boss’ and my other manager’s complex that it hit. They are all right, but it jarred the window seals so now they are leaking. =(

I should be finding something to do more productive….laundry, cleaning, resizing pics…..something………but I just don’t quite feel like it.

We were going to get some more stuff so we could paint the master bath & put a new toilet in there, but Wilma had other ideas.
