WOW

WHAT

A

GAME!!!!!!!

How Do I Feel?: enthralled enthralled

Stupid Colts

What is with the Colts when they play the Bolts? They just seem to have our number; the Chargers are 9-3 all time in the RCA dome vs Indy…. WHAT THE FUCK?????

I am actually ok with today’s loss, I said the day the Raiders made the worse trade in NFL (and in all other sports) history when they GAVE Moss to the Pats for a 4th round draft pick, that the Pats would win it all this year so I have had almost a year to prepare for this. I really wanted to see a rematch of Indy vs the Pats, but it was not meant to be.

I will not be sad to see the Pats win, they have so many good players and to see someone like Junior Seau get a ring makes me all warm and fuzzy and there are a few ‘Boilers on that team as well as the Bolts and Cowboys, but I so despise TO so I just cannot root for the ‘Boys and I would LOVE to see the Packers make the Super Bowl which I think will happen if the Giants win today.

Go Giants! (Today only)
Go Packers! (Next Week and why not for the Super Bowl as well)
Go Pats! (Do what is expected)

Fear the Colts next year… WE WILL BE BACK!

How Do I Feel?: hopeful

The future is now…. We now have Hope….

Coach Hope that is.

Purdue coach Joe Tiller will retire after next season and be replaced by new associate head coach Danny Hope.

Hope was 35-22 in five winning seasons at Eastern Kentucky. He was an offensive line coach on Tiller’s staffs at Wyoming and then Purdue, before leaving the Boilermakers after the 2001 season. In 2007, Hope led the Colonels to a 9-3 record and the Ohio Valley Conference title and was a Football Championship Subdivision Regional Coach of the Year.

Pauline and I actually meet Coach Hope while he was still an assistant; she has met him many times when she worked near campus. We were flying to Dallas for a porn party and he sat next to us while he was on a recruiting trip. Real laid back and cool guy.

Rumors started last week that Purdue was looking at the offensive coordinator from Wisconsin and he would be the next coach, so all week long I have been thinking… what kind of team will he bring since his teams are not spread offense like Purdue has ran since 1997. Which, I couldn’t decide if that was good or bad. Purdue was the first in the Big Ten to run the spread, but we never got the real players we needed to make it work as it should. Brees was good at it, but still not the “ideal” Spread QB while someone like Tim Tebow of Florida is that kind of player…. but fuck I hate that guy.

So I think this is good. I am not sure if Tiller really wanted to retire, or if he was asked to retire, but it is time, but I just hope I don’t regret losing Tiller which will happen the first time we miss a bowl game under Hope.

How Do I Feel?: optimistic

We won 51-48 with a last sec FG.

This is the 3rd bowl we had a 20+ lead only to blow it, but unlike the first two times we won this game. It was a good game, but I feel embarrassed since we should have blown CMU out of the water early and never looked back.

We finish at 8-5 in a ho hum year at best.

Yawn….

How Do I Feel?: blah blah

I F**** Knew It!

Responding to a report that questioned the integrity of one of its football officials, the Big Ten on Wednesday pledged to begin annual background checks on football and basketball officials and review its policy on permissible forms of legalized gambling. Just months after a gambling scandal involving former official Tim Donaghy rocked the NBA, the Big Ten is facing similar questions about Stephen Pamon, a longtime official who served as a chief for a seven-man officiating crew this season. Pamon, who works for the Cook County sheriff’s office, has a history of casino gambling, bankruptcy and legal issues, according to a story that appeared Wednesday on Yahoo! Sports. Pamon’s history might have remained hidden if his crew hadn’t officiated the Nov. 3 Purdue-Penn State game, which featured enough questionable calls that Boilermakers coach Joe Tiller filed an official complaint. The Big Ten reportedly suspended the crew for the final regular-season game but allowed it to work Illinois’ 28-21 upset of Ohio State on Nov. 10.

Yes we had another forgetful year, but this win could have made a ho hum year to a damn good year. The calls in this game were not even close to being “gee, that could go either way” they was all “What the fuck are you doing calling that shit?”

What a way to start a day.
