My upper abs still hurt.  When I went to the gym Wednesday, I worked them more then I thought I did.  I couldn’t even use the ab machine on Thursday they are so sore.  Friday I was just wiped out and thinking off all that I needed to get down before we went out.  So we actually skipped the gym…I feel guilty as hell.  I’m going for a good walk tomorrow and do some floor abs to make up for it.

I know that I haven’t updated in a few days.  It is a combination of things…….other then work, nothing much else has been going on.  I have been having issues with focusing on work.

It is this damn election.  I’m totally addicted to surfing news sites….I’m waiting and wanting an “October” surprise that totally knocks out McCain because I don’t trust the GOP on stealing the election.  Then there is the race issue that may play into it.  But articles like this, help to give me hope  : Quiet Political Shifts as More Blacks Are Elected

Our new babies are doing great, still playful.  Trying to get them to recoginize their names.  We don’t remember when Alexis & Reggie started to respond to them.  The kitten sure don’t know the word no yet…lol  They are fearless.

I spent the last week getting my work done, visiting and playing catch up with everyone.This weekend was a bust.  I did get all of our stuff unpacked and washed.  I really need to pick up dishwasher soap tomorrow, just used the last of it tonight.  Kind of stressing over the gym tomorrow…..just because I hadn’t done it all last week due to being out of town, but also can’t wait to get back into it.  Felt very strange not to be going.  But I will say it was so kind of nice to eat without counting my calories last week.  Even treated myself to my beloved chocolate sundae with strawberry topping at DQ.  I’m a major DQ addict.

At least a few of my teams won, even though my Purdue was beaten.  =(  Saints & Colts won, my Bears lost. I did get a walk in today and one late last night.  I may need to do more night ones, it was kind of nice.

I’m wondering when did it become a crime to be educated?  Most of our founding fathers were self taught and many of them felt very consious of the fact that they didn’t have “proper schooling”. It was the goal of families to get their kids educated as much as possible.  When did being uneducated made you more of an American?  The Class War Before Palin  I think the GOP as made it so, so the educated rich ones can get away with abusing and using the uneducated.  The less you know, the more they can abuse you.  You are nothing but sheep being lead to slaughter.

Why is everyone surprised that the rheotic of McCain/Palin  is fanning the flames of racism?  Rep. Lewis clarifies controversial remarks about McCain, Palin  Palin enjoys the culture wars (Palin heightens rhetoric on abortion ) and the dirting of people with code words and sneaky smearing.  She is a female Rove….disgusting.  McCain is going to really regret this.  Deep down, I don’t believe he is a racist, I think he is desperate and has sold out.

Can someone explain to me how she can claim that she has been cleared in the report ?  Palin Makes Troopergate Assertions that Are Flatly False ““There was no abuse of authority at all in trying to get Officer Wooten fired,” Palin said.”  Is it me or did she just admit that she abused her position?

I’ve kind of been in a funk the last 2 days.  I have no idea why, but just haven’t felt like doing anything….couldn’t even force myself.  It was kind of annoying.

I finally got down to it, grudgingly, today.  Got about 95% of my work caught up.   We did watch Purdue lose to Penn….which we knew was going to happen, but it won’t have been so bad if our kicker would’ve at least made some of the field goals.  Indy won thankfully.  Hopefully Brees & the Saints do good tomorrow night.

I’ve just been news surfing and given into my politics addiction.   I have been disturbed by the VP debates. It has been rolling around in my head since Thursday.

Palin didn’t have any substance, gave no solutions or plans,  talked in circles, didn’t answer questions and played it “cutesy-woosy”.  ( The Palin Problem  ) She is a disgrace to being a woman going for one of the highest offices in the land.  She is acting like it is a beauty contest and if she smiles just right, she’ll win.  She seems so artifical and fake and it annoys me.  If Clinton tried any of that, she would’ve been roasted by everyone.  But unlike Palin, Clinton actually knows policy and issues.  I want a policy geek, someone who knows the issues in office, not a beauty contestant that doesn’t have a clue.

Biden did really well, came off extremely knowledgeably, kind and presidential.  You could see him holding back just so he didn’t get accused of beating up on a woman.  Which is BS since she was able to do the attacks and he couldn’t truly fight back like he should.  If it was against Clinton, she would’ve been treated like any other office seeker, like it should be.

Then the McBush camp wants to treat us voters like we are idiots.  Trying to distract us with innuendos and lies about Obama’s associations : Will Palin’s Obama-Terrorist Speech Backfire?

Which has some racial overtones.  But of course that isn’t going to stop them lying.  Most people don’t do their research, they don’t have time or access to it for the facts : Fact Check: Is Obama ‘palling around with terrorists’?

Wearing campaign buttons and shirts while voting has always been part of American Politics.  So this really annoys me and worries me on what the slimmy operatives will do to stop people from voting.  It is disgusting.

I thought this was a very good article and example of Obama being able to be friends and work with people with different ways of thinking :  Obama’s Other Pastor This is the man that married Bush’s daughter.
