just who the hell do i think i am?

I am ToRn. I’m a 40’something Dude who is ready for a new life style. The current one has become too boring. So why not get rid of everything I own and know, and move into a small box with the Big Red Wife and and our 2 cat’s who are also siblings and totally crazy?

I was born and raised in Indiana and spent Summer’s in Minnesota. I have also lived 3 years in Washington and lived 3.5 year’s in Florida and for the past 5+ years we have lived in the Great State of Oregon! Which I now consider my Home State!

I have been to 39 State’s as far, with all intention to see all 50, as well as any and every National Park, Forrest and whatever else there is marked on a map.

Green is my favorite color.

Crater Lake National Park

Crater Lake National Park – Oregon 0 – 09/07/2010 to 09/09/2010

This was a fun trip, we had some interesting weather for sure, sunny, to rain, to sunny to snow all in 5 mins time. It was 34F at night so this was the coldest camping trip we have ever done. Also almost got lost in the woods about 50 yards from our camp site. That was fun!

The Day Evil Came Home!

This is the day Evil in the form of 2 litter mate kitten’s. This is my all time favorite series of pictures I have ever taken.

Reggie was terminal and it was starting to show. I knew if I didn’t get another cat while he was still crabby, it would be months before I could bring myself to do it, and Alexis was 16 and never once lived alone as the only cat, so there was no way we wanted her to stress out.

I smile every time I see one of these pictures.

Everyone was so cool doing all this, no growling, nothing but a raised paw, claws in, and a arched back.

A few hours later Sakura would show Reggie how much she feared him by curling on with him on the bed.

Alaska

We flew to Anchorage, Alaska for a friends wedding in March 2001. Pauline lived in Fairbanks for 4 years from 1985 to 1989 so this was somewhat of a returning home visit for her but this was my first time.

It will not be the last.

Unfortunately we put too much faith in our new Panoramic camera (film) and we was totally disappointed with the results. Of the multiple rolls of film we used we had about 2 “decent” at best, pictures. These few pictures were taken with our first digital camera.

Needless to say, we WILL return to Alaska if for no other reason then to take some pictures!

If not 2014, 2015 for sure. And this time, we will have multiple camera’s.

We stayed in Anchorage, drove down to Seward, visited the Sea Center (LOVED IT!) and we visited what we could of Kenai Fjords National Park as well as the Anchorage zoo and downtown Anchorage itself, which for a city is really pretty cool.
