My heart is broken…

Sakura

Sakura got out and bolted and we can’t find her. We have been looking for 3+ hours and now its dark so we wait.

We have reward posters and pics posted all over the area and I reported it to the shelter. She has a tag and a microchip so if she’s picked up we will find her, but all I can think of is “what if” which is fucking killing me.

She has not been outside since she was a kitten, we never let them out of the house with out a leash, and she bolts? There are a million places she could within 100′ of the house be and we would never see her and she hardly meows at all and when she does she’s so quite your not sure even sure you heard her.

I can’t ever recall a time I was this heart broken and this livid all at once…

Happy Zombie day!

Toni KatVixen and I in Curacao 3

I hear today we celebrate some dead guy who came back to life and is looking for brains, or at least I would think he is looking for brains, but what the hell do I know, I don’t even believe in zombies.

It has been somewhat of a long week; Monday has already talked about so let’s go to Tuesday which was the day I got to drive to Vancouver, WA to the Jeep dealership that is 22 miles away compared to the 8 miles the other dealership I have been going to, it took just as long to get there and it was a better drive, so that surprised me, and over all it was a better experience than I have had with this company, but I would still rather not ever have to deal with them again.

They fixed the noise and the rattle in the speaker and did it in 90 minutes compared to the 3 hours I was told it would take so that is super cool, but they ignored the clicking sound we hear when we make sharp right turns even though that was one of the original complaints I had with it so I still get to deal with that issue when the next service appointment is made.

Wednesday we went to Vancouver, BC and over all had a really good drive up, hardly any traffic issues at all even in Seattle and the border crossing took just 20 minutes or so and if you didn’t know, you now get stopped by Americans before you get stopped by Canadians… yeah, makes no sense to me neither.

Diesel was still in the hospital, everyone is saying it’s not the cancer this time; it’s the meds for the cancer that caused his brain to swell, he had been in the hospital since Thursday and finally got home Thursday night, so yet another week of hospital crap and some more of his side effects have become more apparent, he has lost feeling in his left arm and other issues I will not go into, but he is alive and trying to get on with his life as best as he can.

We stayed at the hospital for 4 or so hours and he needed to get sleep so we went back to the hotel and got back just in time for room service which ends at 9:30pm? Food was ok, but at least we didn’t have to go out looking for it. Than we had some good friends come over around 1030 and they stayed to 230 and we had a really good time with them, just drank and laughed and watched the police department do a search of the park across the street.

Thursday we ate at the café we always eat at and had the same waitress who we have had before and who I remembered I didn’t care for, but didn’t remember why I didn’t like her which I was reminded of when after we finished eating I realized my ass was soaking wet and when I told her my chair was soaking wet she said “Yeah, someone spilled water” as if I was the dumbass cause I didn’t know someone spilled the water… If there wasn’t 5 cops in there eating I would have told her off, that really pissed me off, you think that is something she should have taken care of when it first happen or at the very least told us it was wet and I should switch to another chair?

Anyway we head home and had a 50 minute wait at the border and stopped in Everett, WA to have dinner with other friends and that was a great, but short time. They took us to a local Blues/Jazz bar that served Southern food and it was really good. The 4 of us ordered one of every appetizer as well as Fried Chicken and it was just a really good and fun meal and we left around 7pm and got home around 11pm.

Friday was my only day in the gym this week and we had to buy some office supplies since my mouse and mouse pad both died for good this week, and nothing else really comes to mind for Friday.

Saturday we finished off more of the front yard, we moved more rock yet again, moved more plants, planted more plants and laid more rock, went back to HD for more rock, and after spreading that rock we realized we are still 2-3 bags short which we will deal with this week. After that we just chilled and tried to work on stuff at the desk, but we were both pretty exhausted.

Today we slept to 10am which is very very late and watched “V for Vendetta” on TV (Ignore the fact that I have the DVD not 3’ away but I was too lazy and decided to deal with the commercials) and so far that is the extent of Sunday.

I have a “MUST DO” list staring at me in the face and yet, I am too tired to care, so I think today is the day I think of zombies and just chill out.

First Hike 2009

The Grand Canyon

And it wasn’t a good one to be honest.

Our first trail had some trash all over that we picked up, we had perfect sunny weather and incredible view of a water fall, but the trash sort of pissed us off so that ruined the moment and then it got really packed with people all at once, so we just left for another trail and same thing, too many people and screaming kids of all things so we just decided to take a drive to The Dalles since that seemed to be such a nice place my first time there at 11:30 PM when I first moved to the area that I must go back in the day time and see what an incredibly…. shithole that it is.

I mean really, they call a city “The Dalles” which is French for “Flowers” and it’s a shithole? I haven’t been this disappointed with what my expectations of a town was vs the harsh reality of what a town is since I first went to the wild west town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico… look it up and you will understand what I mean when I went expecting “wild west” and got….

We stopped at McDs since it was that or a gas station so I could get some caffeine and decided to try their mochas…. wtf?

What The Fuck?

That had to be the worse drink I have ever had in my life, it tasted like 3 cheap synthetic chemicals blended, but you can still taste all 3. I had to brush my teeth when we got home it was that bad.

To add to the fun for some reason my passenger side door has a rattle that is constant as you drive, so I got to call the dealership that I HATE and asked where my part that was ordered 2.5 weeks ago was and I got “I don’t know, you will have to ask them” when “them” was “him” and “him” has been the only “them” I have dealt with for over a year.

So I explained that fact to him nicely… and then laughed at him and hung up.

So now I’m forced to deal with another division of their dealership which is 20 miles away, but managed to get a appoint tomorrow at 10:15 and should be done in 3 hours so the rattling will not kill me as we drive 6 hours to BC.

So no gym for me this week until Friday which bothers me, but at the same time my legs have been issues and tonight it’s my left hip… don’t ask, I don’t know.

We got some good video of the first trail and we got some sun and we got out of the house, but over all this was a poopy day with less than 4 miles of actual hiking and a rattling 3 hour drive with bad mocha.

Dammit MSU….

The Grand Canyon

What a terrible terrible game for the Spartans.

________________________________________________

This is the hike we did this past October 30, I have wanted to start a online hike blog and just haven’t gotten to it yet, so I’ll post this here to remind me to do it.

Holy Frack! I just noticed the bridge is out at Triple Falls, that is around the last 3-4 miles from the direction we took, had it been out when we was there we would have been so fucked, it was dusk by the time we got there, we would have had to go back up and down a hard ass trail with little food and water and small flash light.

Good thing I don’t stress over what could have happen, but I am happy we got packs, head lamps, and extra gear for “what could happen”.

Monday we are going to take a few hours to all day off and just go on a few hikes and see what happens.

I’m thinking we are going to grab some Starbucks, some subs and snacks and just take off with our packs and cameras and see what we see on some of these trails.

http://www.nwhiker.com/gorge1.html

I’m thinking trails 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and maybe 53 and 16, all are easy to moderate and less than 2 miles each, so depending on which trails we take and crowd and everything else, we may also drive to The Dalles since she has never been that far East on I84 and that is one of the most incredible scenes from a highway that there is in the US.

Tuesday is a must work day since we blew this weekend and now Monday off and Wednesday after the garbage takes away all the yard waste we collected (and will be getting rid of for at least the next 3 weeks since we are limited to 1 large container) and some new running shoes I desperately need since my feet and knees are taking a beating are suppose to be delivered.

We laid some river rock and stone path last weekend and naturally we didn’t get enough of either so we made a second trip to Home Depot Monday to get more of both and naturally I dropped a 70# jagged piece of slat into my right knee and bruised and gashed it some and still we was 2 more rocks short since the space I thought would work wouldnt, so for the 3rd time in a week we moved rocks.

That is getting kind of old.

Oh yeah, Wednesday we are also going to Vancouver, BC for the night to to see Diesle and hopefully meet some other friends in the city the next morning for breakfast and some freinds in Seattle for dinner on the way back.

Tonight I also made our annual $55 donation to the billionaire Vince McMahon and ordered WrestleMania 25 and outside a stunning Shawn Michael’s vs Undertaker (who is now 17-0 at WrestleMania) it wasn’t worth much more than $25 but I did enjoy Ricky Steamboat vs Jericho, for his age Steamboat did well, but got bored with the Micky Rourke story, but it made the mainstream news which is what its all about.
