Today we made our first trip to a local grocery store.
After spending the last 5.5 years in Oregon we got spoiled with the laid-back life style in Oregon, so today when we entered the Safeway here in Everett, WA we was in for a rude awaking. Literally.
I have never been inside such an aggressive grocery store. The other customers had no issue with cutting you off, and not once did anyone (besides Pauline and I) say “excuse me” so we just tried to laugh it off. We even had a guy rush from 2 check out lines away to cut us off when I was already at the checkout counter, that was really pretty weird.
The checkout girl let him know we was next, but whatever, told him to go ahead, he appeared to be in a rush.
Not saying anything bad about Safeway or the staff here at the Everett location, they was all polite and professional, but the customers… wow.
I miss the Troutdale, OR Albertsons.
