I had my needle biopsy on my left breast yesterday.
I won’t know the results until Tues. Not too worried about the results yet (I’ll stress it Tues)….they were over 95% sure that it wasn’t cancerous, just want to make sure.
I was anxious about it the night before, but by the time came to have it done, I was way too exhausted to be anxious. I’ve been on 3am-11am on the stocking crew since they were short this week and my doctor appt was at 2pm. I had been up since 1am and feeling it.
I had left work early, hoping for an hour nap along with my shower. Got the shower, but no nap..long story on that one…lol
The procedure wasn’t too bad. More uncomfortable the angle I had to lay for where they had to make the incision. When they pricked me for the numbing, felt like one of my cat’s claws. It was the noise and vibration of them taking the 3 samples that was jarring to the whole thing.
The people at Providence Hospital really nice and reassuring.
Having to sleep in sports bra and been wrapped up even tighter, wasn’t that comfortable, but doable.
I want to shout out a big thank you to Daphna for thinking of coming to pick me up from home, so Torn & I didn’t have to leave the car at her house when we meeting there (hubby was coming straight from work). And a big thank you for waiting with my nervous hubby and feeding us afterwards.
It was greatly appreciated it.
