First storm of the Summer

Tonight we finally have rain. Not sure how much but not as much as we need.

We are still having thunder and lightning so the cats are still freaked and in hiding. They are not big fans of thunder or the sound of rain on the RV roof and it is still cracking and raining. We just had to pull our awning in, just in case and got fairly wet.

That is a odd sensation to have after 2.5 months in the desert.

Pauline saw the Bobcat playing in a small “island” of grass in the center of the driveway, I was able to take a few shots out the window as I sat in my chair, but only one was decent. Tonight from the spot we got some deer.

Then the storm arrived so we went to the visitors center and I set the camera to take 10 shot burst and I just hit the shutter over and over taking about 997 pictures but only 3 had some lightning in the shot’s so that is rather a bummer.

Always the next storm…

The smell of rain is amazing! It has been so long since we have been in a area that rained and this area is in a drought that has lasted for over 15 years so hopefully we will get plenty of rain over the next few days.

BTW, “Paul Simon’s Concert in the Park” is amazing to listen to as you watch a storm…
