Murphy: It’s not going to work.
Noonan: It’s over.
Murphy: But still McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech to do himself some good.
Todd: I think this was insulting to Kay Bailey Hutchinson… She’s never looked comfortable with this.
Murphy: they’re all bummed out
Todd: I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?
Noonan: The most qualified? No. I would think they went for the, excuse me, political bulls**t about narratives…
Noonan: Every time Republicans do that, because that’s not where they live and it’s not what they’re good at, they blow it.
Murphy: You know what’s really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism and this is cynical.

I agree with this comment 100%.

I actually had a “hissy fit” last Wednesday when I read about the “Greek Parthenon” setting Obama was going to have at his speech (And I am still shocked that it was not spinned the way I was scared it would be, but that just proves how good that speech really was) and I read that McBush was going to have a woman VP, I totally thought it was going to be Hutchinson and IMHO, if it was, we would have 4 more years of McBush, but now I am confident we will get change and not more of the same.
In the future, this “well thought decision” will be McBush’s Waterloo.

Finally all the little screaming earthlings are back in school where they belong, so we went and saw the movie I have waited my entire life for, the movie where the REAL Joker is finally portrayed how he was intended to be, a completely insane psycho path. If you have never read “The Killing Joke” it’s a must, there is also a couple novels of short stories of Batman and the Joker that have MANY great stories in them, most are very dark and shows how much enjoyment he gets from torturing/murdering people.
Man I was so into that movie, it was the fastest 2.5 hours I can remember and I am drooling about the day it comes out on DVD. Health Ledger went out on top, I am not one to say “give him the Academy award since he died”… but I do think his performance was extremely powerful and I think he should win the academy award for his work that he did in it. I have been a huge “fan” of the Joker since I can remember and as much as I liked Ceaser Romero no one has ever come as close to Ledger in portraying the Joker as he is in the comics/stories.
No idea why I have always been attracted to the dark characters but I am, maybe I have evil in me? Well, at least more evil then I would admit?
I just loved that movie, from production, to story, to characters to the actors, it was just so well done and I am even happier that this is the first super hero movie I can think of that the “Masked hero” didn’t reveal his secret identity to someone else. I really thought at the end he was going to take his mask off and I was getting mad just thinking about it, so when he didn’t reveal himself I was ecstatic!
I can’t wait for the next one, I love the idea where the Batman is “wanted” so now its 1 man versus an entire city.
But of course, there will be no more Joker in the movies, at least I hope not, no one but Heath Ledger could have pulled this off.
Damn, why do the great ones die too soon? How Do I Feel?: pleased
