“We will take his concerns under consideration…”

McCain sparked the ire of the song’s co-writer, the founding member of Orleans and current New York congressman, John Hall.

“This is yet another example of John McCain not learning anything from George Bush’s mistakes,” Hall wrote First Read in an interview over e-mail. “First, McCain adopted Bush’s failed policy of an open-ended war in Iraq, then he wrapped his arms around the failed Bush economic policies that have put the squeeze on middle class families. Now, he’s making the same mistake George Bush made illegally using a copyrighted song without asking either the writers or the performers for permission.”

*** UPDATE *** McCain camp sends over this response to MSNBC’s David Shuster. “We love John Hall’s stuff,” spokesman Brian Rogers said. “We will take his concerns under consideration. Beyond that, we have no other comment.”

So when the owner of the song tells you to stop using it since you never asked anyone for permission, and instead of saying “Sorry, our mistake” and moving on, you come back with “We will take his concerns under consideration.”?????

Um, what exactly is there to consider? You had no right to use this song and got busted, case closed.

McCain is so much like George Bush he even refuses to admit when he is wrong. How Do I Feel?: indescribable indescribable

NewsFlash

When we got up this morning, I thought the weather man got it wrong again….overcast and cold…but around 1pm the sun came out!  Ended up being a beautiful day.

Fox refers to Michelle Obama as ‘baby mama’

**How racist and screwed up is Fox News!  Really showing their true colors….gggrrr  Now lets see if the rest of media will quit ignoring things like this…..they just sweep it under the rug.  =(

It’s All About the Rank
**The military has it shortcomings…sexual & racial harassment and such, but I love how rank has helped overall on equality.

Men fillet Charlie the Tuna statue in Oregon

**A prank that went horribly wrong.  =(  But I love the fact that they are having a memorial for it.  =)

Now what is funny, is that long before we moved and when we lived in Florida you always have stories in the national news of crimes and weird stuff…..Now Oregon keeps ending up in the news……..lol

Chilly Weather & Pics from the Oregon Coast

I know it has been a bit since my last post.  Been feeling blah and so really had nothing popping into my head to write about.

My legs are hurting from today’s workout.  My trainer really pushed me today.  I finally made some progress over the weekend weight wise, not much but something.  Which is a good thing, because I was getting really pissed.  It was like damn it, I’m watching my diet and working my ass off….gggrrr  This is the part that sucks on getting old, harder for your body to bounce back…annoying as hell.

I was trying to find an article that was posted yesterday on a local news site but I can’t find it.  =(  It was about the funky weather we have been having and that most folks are calling june-ary.  It has been about 10degrees below normal.  It is suppose to be in the 70s with some dry weather but it hasn’t been happening….hell, Government Camp and Timberline got snow yesterday and none of the snow from this winter has melted.  Usually there is grass showing, but it hasn’t been happening up there.  It has been crazy.
Told Harold that everytime we move funky weather hits.  All the hurricanes that hit a month after we moved to Florida, the extra rain, floods and mudslids that hit the West and North of Portland last fall.  I actually think it is Harold’s fault….when he lived in Washington years ago, they had snow and winters they almost never see……lol

I’m so looking forward to the next few days, it is suppose to be dry, sunny and in 70s.  =) I don’t want a repeat of the major heat we had a few weeks ago, just want to be comfortable with the windows opened…..that isn’t too much to ask for, is it?

Sexism Sells — But We’re Not Buying It

My friend had posted this a few weeks on her blog, watching it really pissed me off…especially Chris Matthews. But it really illustrates how far us women still have to go in this country when it comes to the media. It also helps show the sexism that Clinton was facing, because many people couldn’t and didn’t want to see it . But I will say, we were extremely amazed that Clinton won Indiana. When Bill was in office, she was the most hated thing….so for that state, racism won out.

I’ve been told that you have to look at where is it coming from, but you can’t just dismiss it based on that because where is coming from, because it is coming from people who have audiences and air time.
