Is it warm yet?

No, not yet, but it’s getting closer. I am getting to the point I want to be warm when I go outside and I don’t want to have to wear a coat to be warm. I want to go site seeing and hiking, but I don’t want to be cold and wet when I do it. Hmmmm makes one wonder why I moved here…. Pussy….

We have had a long week of sorts, our pal and a friend of hers came down for the weekend to watch the Super bowl which turned out to be a kick ass game, that game was so damn good I watched it 2 more times on the NFL network this past week. Eli did a hell of a job and I called it with less than 8 minutes that Eli would be defined by this game and I think it will be based on how he won it and I turned out to be right for once.

I made chili and homemade soup and steak and pizza (from Indiana) and we of course had lots of booze so it was a good time. She had brought their Wii down with her so we played with that for a few hours and of course felt it in the morning, how sad is it to hurt from playing a video game? I think Wii is still the dumbest name ever for a system, and I think the kind of games are limited with the wands vs a controller, but the bowling and baseball and tennis was pretty fracking cool.

So I confessed to Pauline that I wanted to buy her a Wii for this past holiday but I simply couldn’t find one in stock after mid October without paying much more than it’s worth, so we are going to get her one and set it up in the bedroom I think, more room up there which is needed when bowling.  I also want to get the old systems again; I use to have a Super Nintendo and Sega Gneisses and want to get both again while I still can.

We are planning a trip to Minnesota soon, still not sure exactly when, but we are thinking April/May area. Pauline has not been to MN in 6 years or so.

A Day Pretty Much Wasted

Today we really didn’t feel like doing much of anything.  Just wanted to get out of the house.

So we just went out to look at a few things in the stores……pretty much a waste of time.  But felt good to be out and active.

I didn’t really get that much done until the last hour or two.  But then in the other work there wasn’t much to do, just wait on feedback and answers from others…….I hate waiting………..gggrrr

Nothing much …….NewsFlash

I’ve just been working the last few days, so really don’t have much to update about. I will say that my muscles are feeling much better. =)

I did screw up my sleeping this morning. I was happy that I got up early yesterday, today I had to get up to place a business call to the east coast and then went back to bed for about an hour and spent almost 2 hrs. I think what it was that before I got up I couldn’t breath for a couple hours and that is exhausting. So when I head back to bed I was able to breath and it made it much easier to sleep.

We got hell of a wind storm last night……sometimes sounded like a hurricane.

Politics and work can be volatile mixture

**Talking politics at work is never a good thing. But when it comes to being fired because of a sticker on your car……….that is bullshit!

Exhausted, But Happy

Wow, I’m totally exhausted. 2 of our friends came down for SuperBowl weekend and we had a blast.  We ate a lot of great food that Harold cooked, had great conversation, and got to have fun while we all yelled at the TV during the game.

WHAT A GAME!!!

It seemed going into it that the New England was going to win……..damn!  What a turn around!  I don’t think Eli is going to be much crap for not being like his brother.  =)

I am NOT a fan of NY teams in general….can’t stand the Knicks or the Yankees, but it was fun to see the Giants win.  I like teams that have good people on them.  Good sportsmanship, attitudes and teamwork.  So it was easy to get into pulling for the Giants when facing the “Goliath” of New England.

This SuperBowl was hard for me, because of the people on the Giants and the people on the Patriots, besides being a fan of the Patriots when they are not facing my Colts.  =)

This weekend we had many late nights of talking and just visiting.  After the game, they had brought their wii with them……..so we got to play that for the 1st time.  That was FUN!  But my body hurts, especially my arms.  It is something we have to see about getting, and I’m not one for games.  Thanks guys!!!

After a brief visit last night, I totally crashed out.  By the end I wasn’t feeling to hot and felt sick.  I’m feeling much better after some sleep, but I still have the icky feeling, which sucks.  So hopefully the meds I take at night before bed keep me well.

Today I was playing major catch up today with all my online work.  There was so much that I had a hard time finding where to start.  But I got a bunch of it done.

Need to get a hold of the accountant 1st thing tomorrow. After doing my online job, I’m going to have to attack my other work with messages and such.

Watching ABC for the Super Tuesday results.  There are so many numbers that my head is just swimming.  I like it when they just sum it up so I know were everyone stands.  It is harder with the Dems since most of the primaries are not winner take all, which is how I believe it should be but boy does it make it harder to figure out where everyone stands. Thankfully McCain is doing well.

What I thought was the coolest thing that gives me hope that this country is finally moving more out of its racism is that Obama did extremely well with white males in Georgia.  Several pundits said that a few years ago you wouldn’t have seen that.

On the subject of the candidates, here is an interesting article on McCain : What These Eyes Have Seen

A reminder of the cost of WWII:

Death photo of war reporter Ernie Pyle found

**There are things all around central Indiana, including a building at the Indiana Veterans Home, named for him.  So I have a natural interest in his contributions. Here is his info on wikipedia : Ernie Pyle
