What are the odds?

The 2 companies I hate dealing with more then anything else is Sprint and Dell, and I had to deal with both in a 24 hour period.

I already cried over my sprint crap, we had lost signal a 3rd time later that night for at least another 2 hours but once again I had to deal with Dell last night. We were watching the Daily Show and all the sudden my Dell started making loud noises and vibrating. The fan sounded like it blew up, so I confirmed that nothing was in the fan blades, cleaned it out with air, rebooted and still, sounds like it was grinding.

Joy.

So I go to the Dell site, log into my admin, confirm I have a warranty for another 2 years and then went to the live help chat, I waited 20 minutes and got a tech, told him my issues and what I did and that I *MUST* have this fixed since I leave in a week for 2 months.

So I was asked to download some crap so they could run test on my laptop and man that totally freaked me out. All the sudden my mouse moves and windows open and things are typed…. Freaky!

Then they had to call me since I had to shut down my laptop and we booted it into test mode and ran a fan test and sure enough, my video fan is dead. I think it is VERY cool that I have something can perform test on my hardware and we don’t have to sit here guessing.

So the good news is a tech is coming to my home no later then Monday, the fan wont hurt my pc, so not a huge deal, but still, get it fixed while we can. And I must say this was the best experience I have had with Dell, the less I have to talk to a person the better, I was having to re read what they wrote but I got the gist of most of it, so I guess this is the way to deal with it, don’t call them, let them call you.

How Do I Feel?: okay okay
