My bandages are off! Unfortunately I still have the stitches….which I was hoping to get rid of. I can’t go swimming (no soaking) but I can take normal get clean showers. Which is hard enough to stand and not move too quickly.
My feet remind me of frankstein….I have stitches on both sides of my heels (which I thought it was only going to be on one side) and a big ass ugly bruise down the inside of my feet following my tendon. I may take pics, I haven’t decided.
I can wear regular tennis shoes. But I’m walking funny. Going to take time to get over my tenderness and learn how to walk correctly…..those boots with bandages mess you up that way.
I worked a shift today……had to sit down a lot and my feet are tender. But what really, really hurts is my calves. Because of not walking regularly for a week, walking funny and still walking funny……damn, they hurt. I put some bengay on them hoping that I don’t lock up tonight.I work the next few days…..I should be able to work it out……..some how.
I get my stitches out next week and I’m hoping that I’m almost back to normal on my walking. I really need to attack the bedroom and bathroom for packing. And I’m starting to stress what we need to keep out for our move.
We finalized our place out in Portland the other day. What a huge, huge stress reliever. It is actually just outside of Portland, but nice and we can easily take the public transit to the city. We want to try and not drive as much, a little more enviromentally friendly. It is a 2 story townhouse, 3 bed, 2.5 bath (we have to have at least 1.5), 1 car garage with a gas fireplace. Just dawned on us today to see about having air……….nope it doesn’t. Central air is not something that is standard out there. Us living in the Indiana and then Florida…..it is given. But we shouldn’t be needing it more then a week a year……so we’ll just use fans.
Here is an ad that has the same set up (it won’t last, so check it out) :

We are thinking it will give us time to get to know the area better on where we want to live. It is kind of hard doing it online. =)
