Funny Fwd.

**From Ms. Jackie

Saturday morning I got up early, put on my long johns, dressed quietly, made my lunch, grabbed the dog, slipped quietly into the garage to hook the boat up to the truck, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour.

There was snow mixed with the rain and the wind was blowing 50 mph. I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad throughout the day.

I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed. There I cuddled up to my wife’s back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, “The weather out there is terrible.”

She sleepily replied, “Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that shit.”

Beautiful Day

I still haven’t done my letter writing that I need to do……….and didn’t touch the work schedule, like I needed to. =( But I’ve been taking some “me” time here by doing some reading. Granted I’m actually rereading some Harry Potter books, but I think I’m just so impatient for the next book that I keep looking for things that I missed. I need to start reading all the other books that I haven’t read yet………..grin

Downloaded music for the first time. Way too many folks to choose from and I barely scratched the surface. I think I got nearly all the Yo Yo-Ma that there was. =)

We finally got some dates for when my folks and the kids are coming down! Now we can start planning the rest of our summer and their visit. Since I work out side of the house, Harold will have them about 70% of the time. Good thing we have a pool and they love to swim. =) Mom & Dad will drive them down, visit for a little while at the end of May and I’ll fly the kids back about the 2nd week of July.

As Harold posted, due to constuction not that far from us, the house has a continous layer of dirt. =( I keep wiping things down, my floors don’t looked liked I mopped them and my feet can’t seem to stay clean…..yuck! We don’t want to close the windows until it gets too hot, since air condition get old and we will be having it on soon enough. So for now we suffer. =(

I laid out briefly today. Didn’t think I got much sun, but I was mistaken…….lol My back is red and the back of my thighs are tender. I got some on the front, but no where the amount that I got on the back. That was cuz I was reading while laying on my stomach and when I laid on my back, I was just way too restless.

Harold will be taking in the truck tomorrow to get 2 new tires & a much needed alignment and outside of oil changes, hopefully that will be it for a long while. =)

Time for me to hit the hay, have to work early tomorrow.

ps……….yup, Harold has been post happy………grin

I’m being watched…

While relaxing in the backyard I had a feeling I was being watched and sure enough I had this beast watching me… watching my every move… studying me… planning an attack… I could read it in its eyes… it wants me dead… I must take action!

“MAD BEAST!” “LIBERAL MIDGET!”

If you have no idea what I am talking about, then you missed the best episode of “the Simpson’s” in Id say close to 5 years if not longer. With the help of the DVR we finally watched last Sundays show this morning, and it was a riot, we had to rewind twice to see/hear things we missed due to laughing. I can’t think of another episode since “Bart’s Soul” that I laughed so much.

Today we raked yet more leaves, as we have said this house was let go for over 5 years, and we have been cleaning as much as we can and now it is the outsides turn. We have raked the worse of it over the last few weeks, problem is the wind and we run out of containers to put them in and since the yard waste pickup is on Mondays only we will have a pile of leaves and branches for a few days.

We also hand sawed the hell out of a tree which looks incredibly better now that it has been cleaned up, we was going to get a chain saw today to clean up all the other trees and take out 4 stumps, but I am not sure I want to do that now, not until after we get another years lease lol so instead I have jelly for arms as I try and type. I am so out of shape.

About 74F and wind, it was 88F yesterday, we are living in a dust bowl here, about one block straight east of us was a wooded area that has since been torn out for condos, so the entire house is NASTY dirty, everything is covered in dust and I mean EVERYTHING. Even the white parts of the cats are dingy now, how sad is that? And it is going to be this way for months at least, so we are pretty much screwed.

We had a neighbor ring our doorbell yesterday worried we had a poisons snake in our yard, so I chased it and got some pics which upset her that I didn’t kill it so she left, so I think I need more snakes maybe? I’m pretty sure it is a “Racer” totally harmless and fucking fast as hell, it went over 30’ in a second. (BTW, no comments on the leaves… most are gone now)

I will finish with this… “WHOOLY BULLEY!!!”

WTF is this cracker talking about…

You may ask? I got my DJ Ditty today, 1 day after being shipped.

Anyway, for the first time ever I downloaded a song off the internet. No, I am not kidding. I have never once downloaded a song from the internet. The DJ Ditty gave us a 30 day free unlimited downloads from Napster so I found this lovely little piece and downloaded “The Game” sung by the gentleman band of Motorhead.

I believe this was written for Lemmy’s pal HHH from the WWE, and Motorhead has sung it live at 2 Wrestlemania’s and I hope this year will be the 3rd time since Motorhead is incredible live.

When I lived in Washington I lived with a friend who was the son of true die hard bikers, his parents were real “1%” as they are referred to, so he has a wild look on life, and he was a die hard Motorhead fan, I had never heard of them until I met him, and at first I could not stand them, but over time I learned to love them, and they opened up for Metallica and Guns n Roses in ’92 in Seattle since Faith No More had to leave the tour since it ran 2 months long after James got burned.

Motorhead rocked the Kingdom.

Any way, my first song was “The Game” and then “Hurt” by Jonny Cash and then some more Cash and then I just started searching, so far I have downloaded 1.02 gigs and when Pauline has time tomorrow I’m sure she will triple that in a matter of minutes.

So feel free to welcome me to the 21st century!
