Productive Day

Well our day started out with a bike ride after Harold keep making noise all over the house with doors closing and squeaky work out shoes so I couldn’t do my yoga. The DVD does say to do in area without distractions, but they have never meet my husband……..lol One big distraction. So on a bike ride we went. I then had my appointment for my teeth to be cleaned and polish.

Since I’ve been back I’ve been working on our receipts. I have them all grouped in their categories and I’m slowly attacking one folder at a time. I’m entering the stuff that I know hasn’t been entering and then checking the dates of the stuff in the folders. Any thing after June has probably not been entered, so I compare it to my detail expense list that I printed out before I started all this.

I’ve started with the smaller folders and once I have them completed I pile them to the side so I can feel as if I’m getting some where. It makes it feel more manageable and less intidmating. The messy folders are the travel ones……all those individual receipts for meals……those are just a pain to enter.

I wish I had gotten further, just cuz I want it done so bad. But I have made good progress. I had backed up everything I had done last night on to the server. I’m going to complete one more folder and then I’ll back up on my cd (the trusty one) & on the server also. I’m not losing it this time……over my dead body………..grin

Harold talked to his folks Tuesday. It was nice to catch up and hear what has been happening. They told us about not being able to get through. It doesn’t make sense. Next time that happens we’ll call sprint…..it has to be sprint’s relay system up there. Cuz we get calls from Buffalo, Canada, California…..all over with out a problem…..strange.

Alright, I’m really wanting to stay focus on this receipts, so I’ll chat later.

Good & Bad Day Off

Bad news is our dryer isn’t working again. =( We now have our laundry strung out on our screened in back patio. At least the majority of it was nearly dry. Harold talked to his dad, they think that the fuse/switch we got may have been bad. So Harold is going to see if he can find one in town tomorrow so we don’t have to wait to get it.

I had to get the schedules done for work. But the good thing is my boss finally has a working computer and excel so I can now send them to her…..grin So much easier then trying to print them out, take them in, have her go over them and make the changes. Where I work I can send email to my home addy, but can’t send email to the work addy. It is a close server to prevent spam and abuse, which I can fully understand. But makes twice the work. So now we can at least communicate from home, it cuts down the work.

The only problem with doing the schedules is that I never got to all the receipts that I was planning on doing today. Which on one hand is good thing……cuz I found an old back up of my quickbooks…grin When we moved last June I couldn’t find my original cd, so I entered my stuff through Oct. & back up it up on a different cd (or so I thought). And that was the one that turned up blank. =( So now I found my original and have all of my previous years and half of 2005.

I still have to enter 6 months worth, but what is going to be more tedious is that I’ve filed away everything through Oct., since I had entered. So now I need to go through and figure out what I need to reenter. The monthly things are easy, it is little things like travel, meals & auto receipts that are going to be a pain. I’m just going to have to take it one folder at a time. And that is what I’ll be working on Thursday, my next day off. Keep your fingers crossed that I get the majority of it done.

We have the Orange Bowl on. So far it is Penn St 14, FSU 13. I just hope the Penn. St keeps it up.

It’s A Monday

It has been a long day. I’ve been up since 04:30 and bed is sounding good. So this may be a very short post. It wasn’t a bad day, even though I had a couple of really grouchy clients at work today. I was still able to get a few things accomplished.

This year is starting out bad weather wise in this nation. =( When you see drought in one area and floods in another, you just wish you could simply switch it for a week out two to even it out.

It was great that Wisconsin & Ohio St each won their bowl games. =) I hope Penn. St smashes FSU…….grin I did a schedule switch just so I could see the game.

1st Day of the Year

I worked today. We were down a person……actually 2 since one of our folks was sick from drinking last night & ran to the bathroom a lot………..lol She did not look good. But she is young and learning. So I found her something to do closer to the bathrooms so she didn’t have far to go.

Our other person was missing in action. The last anyone had heard from him was @ 09:30 when dropping off a friend after partying all night. We found out much later that on his way home to shower and change for work he got pulled over for a messed up tail light. Well, his clothes smelled of liquor from drinks being knocked him the night before so of course it went down hill from there. His alchol level was so low that he was sober (hadn’t had a drink in hours & had sleep since then), but he is under age so he got busted for that. Then they wouldn’t let him make a 2nd call to let us know where he was at. I’m almost happy to hear what happened to him, cuz towards the end I was thinking the worst….. =(

Unfortunately cuz of all that we didn’t get as much done as I wanted to today, but we didn’t do too bad considering.

Here are a few cool articles :
A bicycle built for seeing America

**What an experience that would be.

Florida weirdness spawns three books
**I thought this state was weird before we moved here. You’re always hearing something weird in the news about the people.

Need to head to bed……have an extremely early morning tomorrow….then I need to get my poor nails done…..they are looking rough…yuck.
