I had a great day on the 27th, thanks to my sweetie. =) Since I had to work on my b-day, I made sure I got that day off so I could have “my day”.
We went for a bike ride in the morning….it was chilly, but sunny. When we got home we got ready for our day. We had decided to go to the zoo , we hadn’t been there in a few years. The parking lot was packed and there was a line to get in, but it didn’t take long. And once we got in, it wasn’t too bad crowd wise like we feared. It was great to see all the animals. And Harold got me stuffed snow lepreod (Sp)….it is so cute. =)
Even ran into my old manager, Linda. It was cool to see her. =) But we did feel bad, we ended up rushing out of the gift shop since a kid was having a temper fit. =(
We then went had italian for lunch. I was craving some pasta & sause…..mmm
Then we headed to the beach. We haven’t been there in a long while……it was sunny, the tide was out enough so we were able to fully walk it.
Here are a few pics of our day: Tuesday
It was just a great day to spend together.
I did get our tree down and all packed away that day, until it is time for it to come by out next year.
Not too happy on how Michigan got robbed by the Cornhuskers due to the refs not having a clue…….gggrrrr Lets hope that Penn. St smashes FSU Tuesday night…..that I would love…grin
Right now I’m jamming out to a cd of classics, with one of them being my favorite Eine Kleine Nachtmucik (A little Night Music) by Mozart. I love that pieces. But then I played that on my violin for 4yrs in school, when I used to play.
I had found this really cool book : 700 Years of Classical Treasures : The Complete History of Classical Music…The Composers, Their Instruments, and Works It contains 8 cds, full of all sorts of great pieces. I just had to have it. So I’ve been jamming at home with this and in the truck, to my new Bon Jovi that Harold got me…..grin…..blasting of course.
We also have the LSU/Miami game on, so I’ve been trying to keep eye on it.
Joe Paterno is now being presented the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year award, I can’t think of anyone of more deserving and classy as hell. They just don’t make coaches like that anymore…..maybe Lou Holtz.
Now on to Beethoven’s 5th! How can you not love that one?!? I’ve never played that one, but I can just imagine all the bow movements, the build up, the emotion that is put into it….I can almost hear which string instrusment is playing what part……..I love it.
I’ve been working my rear end off since……
Here we go……….Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven….
