Football Saturday

Well……..for Purdue it sucked. =( I really won’t have that much problem with losing if they hadn’t done really screwed up things. If they went down fighting that would’ve been different, but they did things during the 1st half that they shouldn’t done. =(

Notre Dame lost……..USC came back with a hell of a drive….and they fumbled, and in the end that is what helped them win it. Penn. St lost…… =( Better much all the teams I wanted to win lost…..maybe football is trying to tell me something….ggrrr

It was an absolute beautiful day, cool crisp air in the 60-70, the colors and the smell of cut grass…………it was something else.

Spent the day watching football, eating (way too much…….lol) and playing cards (I actually just watched). When visiting with our friends, they have a habit of feeding you a lot. Every time we visit we gain a little…..lol

Tomorrow is NFL day and they have a party planned around it. It is going to be a good one & we are looking forward to it.

We lost…shocking

Another choke, we made a valiant second half comeback, but not enough to come up with the win.

We so suck.

More Update

I forgot to mention that when Cheryl came back from seminar she had a book for me. A signed copy of “1776” by David McCullough and cd audio book of it! I’ve been wanting to get that book. I ready 2 other books of his, “Truman” & “John Adams”, and they were both great. She got to see him speak & said he was good. I wish I could’ve been there for that. It was so cool of her to get that for me…..grin

I was talking about all the projects we had to get done with Cheryl being gone. It was the week of our biggest action alley reset…the one for the holidays. I was extremely proud that I was able to get that done, without have the payroll to have the schedule I should’ve had, and I also got the overstock done, shipment sorted and a few other things organized.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to the shipment within the time frame that is required, but when we were finally able to get to it, we made a good dent. We normally get about 2200-2500 pieces (about 2-3 pallets), but with the holiday stuff it as been about 3500 pieces, this week was 4500 (5 pallets). We had a huge mountain of totes. Luckily we have a few strong shipment folks that kept us from drowning.

Cheryl stopped in on her only day off, just to brief me about the seminar since I had the weekend off. We ended up totally moving around action alley & I have to say it looks much better.

I have a long way to go on setting my laptop exactly the way I want it. But it is going much, much smoother then the last time we reformatted. It is handling so differently with this new hard drive that I’m convinced that Harold is right about me having a bad hard drive to begin with.

I’m still trying to get all my email accounts set up. I tried to email dad and it came back saying that the server rejected his addy? So I’m going to set up one of my other accounts and see if it works from there.

A Hard drive…..finally

Alright, where to being……

My hard drive took a dive while Harold was reformatting it & I have been without since Thursday until last night. So that is why I haven’t responded to emails. =( I may try to knock a few out tonight……..but don’t hold your breath.

Those are the major announcements. =)

Otherwise I have been just working like crazy this week. Cheryl had to go to a seminary this week so that made me the head nut of the nuthouse…………lol Of course, it was the week of the big set up. So that made it much more interesting. The only real issue was one person not doing their job fully like they should’ve and doing it when we had an outsider helping us out. =(

I’m actually pretty proud of how the week went overall on projects. Of course, the weekend that I’m heading out of town is the weekend that we are having a store meeting. There was somethings I really wanted to be there to address, but it sounds as if Cheryl has it covered & things will be changing for the better. =)

I still can’t fully bend my finger, hurts bad. I don’t know how long it takes a fracture/broken finger to heal….it has been almost 3 weeks. I meant to ask dad the other night when I had him on the phone, but I forgot. =(

I just seem to get beaten up at work…..I run into boxes and I try to break my finger…..I come home and find bruises on me that I never knew that I had….crazy….

We are really looking foward to the weekend. Just chilling out and enjoying friends.
I’m really missing my favorite season of fall & then winter is my 2nd favorite (and I don’t mean the kind in Florida……..lol) Fall has the striking colors, the cool, crisp air & you can bundle up and feel good…..I love it!

PC Crap & Doctor Visits

Well……………….this sucks…we had to order a new harddrive for my laptop. =( That is so annoying & on top of it this Monday is a holiday……so that means the earliest to get it is Wednesday.

****FYI, I don’t have my email set up fully! So it means I don’t have full access to my email….Until next Thursday don’t expect to here from me.

Harold has me set up on one of our desktops. Boy, I’m not use to a big screen or monitor on my desk anymore….weird…..

I went to my doctor for some blood work. I thought it was just for checking my sugars but it was also for my choesltra (Sp). I forgot to ask if they had gotten my records from my old doctor. Luckily it didn’t take as long as I was fearing it would.

Cuz after that appt. I had to head over to the foot doctor. He figured out what was wrong with my foot (sharp pains in my left heel), gave some inserts (with instructions not to wear sandals for the next 2 weeks) and a shot in the heel…..OMG!! That was the most painful thing I ever felt…..give me a root canal over that any day (and those aren’t that bad)……hell, jamming finger didn’t hurt that bad. The throbbing is finally going down, but I’m hoping that the overall daily pain will start to leave.

After I finally got home from all of that, I had to head into work for a conference call. Cheryl is taking off for a company seminar & that leaves me in charge of the mad house….lol We have some big projects to do this week and it doesn’t help that they cut our labor to extreme bare bones. Some that is due to fact that we lost 2 stores that were in the path of Katrina. =(

I need to get to bed soon, I have an early day tomorrow. =)
