**Written up yesterday.
Another entry, on another plane. We are the final leg of our trip, flight wise, once we get on the ground, we then only have about a 10-15minute drive home. We were able to fly out at our local airport instead of having to drive to Orlando, so that was nice.
It never fails; we always get the kid near us. He is about 4-5 area, not too bad, but is continuously trying to get his dad’s attention, with the daddy….daddy thing, while his dad tries to have a conversation.
We had a great weekend! It was our 1st tailgating and our 1st time at a NFL game. It was windy, chilly and overcast for game day but we had a fire going, a good group of people to hang with, and Karen had lots of food. That woman likes to feed people that is for sure. =)
One thing I learned, is that you don’t want to drive against Karen. We got to the game parking lot 2 hours before it opened and there were folks already there. Well, Karen wants her spot. They have been tailgating in the same spot for over 3yrs (at least, I think). When she paid the attendant, she was off and made sure we got there before anyone else. We ended up leaving Harold and her husband, Mark, behind with the rest of the guys…………lol
When it was time we made our way up to the stadium. They have season tickets in the Jim Kelly section, where you have your own bathrooms, food area and even heated seats….lol If it wasn’t Buffalo, I would say that they don’t know how to attend a real game…..lol But they did without those for years, so they know how.
The Bills won (if you were paying attention) and it was a good game. It was different at an NFL game, the angle, the whole set up. And the cheerleaders didn’t add much to it, just a bunch of pretty girls strutting their stuff. The college cheerleaders have the basket tosses and seem to add more in the way of spirit. There seems to be more “spirit†at a college game, but I don’t know if it was also the part of the stadium we were in. Cuz the lower areas got pretty rowdy & we saw more fights break out then we ever saw at a game.
After the game we went back to tail gating for about an hour or so, just to wait out the traffic leaving the parking lot. Then we went back to the house and watched some more football….lol
Monday, Mark was nice enough to take us to Niagara Falls. They were gorgeous and got some really good pictures. It was awe inspiring seeing the power of Mother Nature and what it can do.
One thing I’ve noticed the few times we’ve visited Canada is that they really know how to keep the green space. They keep it looking good and work with nature. They don’t just rip it all up and put concrete down everywhere. But the area was a lot more commercial with the casinos. I don’t see how that makes it the romantic get away that they always led you to believe that it is.
When we got back we chilled for a bit before heading to dinner. Then it was on to Monday Night Football! =) We got to watch the Colts win and see Harrison and Manning set a new record. What more could you ask for?? Actually the only thing more I could’ve ask for, was to have won this week in my FFL. =) But it was still all good.
Today we just chilled around the house after packing everything up. I don’t work until tomorrow night, so that gives me time to get the laundry going. I was able to actually keep up with things this weekend better then if I had been at home. The only thing I couldn’t do during the down time was resize & gallery up all our pictures. We didn’t have time to load dreamweaver, photoshop, name wizard & set up my FTP settings onto my lap top. Harold will be doing that tomorrow.
Looks like we may be starting our descent soon…almost home. I can’t wait, I miss our babies, even though I loved playing with our friends’ dog & cat. =)
