Typical Monday

“Brownie” resigned today…shocking. CNN said the White House wanted to stress that he was not fired, so once more they will never admit they were wrong. Some guy with a shit load of experience in emergency management has been appointed… wow, what an Idea, getting people who know something about the job to do the job…

First Sunday of football was yesterday, and from what I can tell I took it in the rear on most of my FFL’s and the few pools I was in, no way in heck can the 49ers beat the Rams… and that was just one of many “what the f***” ‘s that happen yesterday, strangest opening day I ever remember.

Back to Work

Today, I head back to work. It was a good weekend. I actually caught nearly everything up. All I really have left is a few letters to write and less then half of my receipts do to. I have Wednesday off and hope to get them done.

We also had our friends Maryanne and Joel over Sunday. It was a great visit, just chilling out in the pool, bbq’ing, football, and just playing catch up on every thing. We haven’t seen them in months. Sunday had a good ending with the Colts winning…..grin

Alright, off to work I go, everyone have a good Monday. =)

Reporters May Be Getting Their Balls Back

NBC’s Williams: Journalists’ gloves off

**I found this link on AmericaBlog. I know I keep posting on what happened in New Orleans and the fall out, but I’m just amazed at how bad the response from the local to the federal level failed.

On top of all that, this adminstration has gotten away with murder with the pr spins. I’m hoping that one of the small positives that will come out of this is that the press will start taking Bush II to task, it is needed. If this had happened to Clinton or Gore, they would’ve been all over them like a dog with a bone. The press needs to get their damn teeth back and start demanding the truth and consequences for their actions.

(ps….see what happens when I’m actually off and at home……a lot more posts………grin)
