Too Funny

You have got to check this out : Mom & Pop vs. Walmart

Near Hit

We had a scare a few weeks ago from an idiot driver and then to top it off had a horrible experience with the cops. No one got hurt and we weren’t involved in a wreck, but it could have been.

Harold wrote this letter to the local sheriff and we weren’t really expecting a response from them. But he received a call from a captain about it today asking questions about it. It seems like several procedures were ignored.

It is nice to see that they are taking the incident serious.

Maybe the local officals aren’t as bad as they have seemed so far. =) I know every place has it’s good and bad enforcement. But you learn to expect certain things and when it is not done it is a huge disappointment and makes you lose faith in the net that the community is suppose to have.

The Happenings

It has been raining here on and off due to Ophelia off of the coast. They believe that she will become a hurricane in the next few days. =( Lets hope that she doesn’t land.

I actually had a productive day at work. Sometimes I feel as if I’m so busy running around and putting out small fires that I don’t get anything accomplish. On the days that I get something done, I feel good. =)

I have a few things to do for work here tonight. I hope I have the thought process to get it done……lol

I did get all the receipts organized, now I need to do the long process of entering them into quickbooks. I’m hoping to be able to get them done this weekend. Then I won’t be stressing it all by the end of the year to get it done.

I’ve been so busy since I got back from Indiana, that I never finished up about that weekend. There isn’t much to tell except that I really enjoyed being able to see and visit everyone. Mom did surprise me. She gave me a few family things that I didn’t expect. One of them being a picture of my dad taken in ‘Nam. It is a simple black and white picture, but what I really like about it is what it tells me about him. He looks so young, but his eyes shows him getting older (for lack of a better term) with what he has seen & experience there. Just gives me a sense of my dad’s history.

Mom also gave me a costume jewelry penant. She has had it for along as I could remember, but I never knew the story behind it. It was made my great-aunt Maria and my great-uncle Al painted a peacock on it. So I thought that was really cool.

Now I need to get off my ass & do the litter boxes……….lol
