A Pretty Good Day

Today was a work day for me. Sat. is normally a day that most major projects are done & you are gearing up for the next one. It is kind of weird since I’m use to having a goal/project. I spent most of my day getting little stuff together & worked on schedules.

I feel guilty when I spend the time on it instead of other things, but Saturday is normally a great day for that and even though I’m use to bringing my some of my work home, it can get old and with stressing about the move….it is just too much. Once the move is over, it won’t be so bad. I’m also one of those folks that likes to schedule as far in advance as I can. I have a rough draft done up to July 9th & has started on following week. We have to wait until Monday to find out if the salary budget they originally gave us has been increased; I’m so hoping it is. Because with the one I was given makes us short handed.

It felt good at work, in that it feels with the new boss that it is team with her and I. There are many things we agree upon & she as no problem with me attacking the organization of things, which I love to do when I have the time. I hate it when things aren’t organized. Drives me batty. What also impressed me is when she said she was going to take care of 2 of our associates; she got a hold of our boss and convinced her & got it done. =)

I got all the bills paid up until next month. That is always a relief.

What I would like to be able to do tomorrow is to get my receipts done so nothing is lose move wise, and box up some stuff in the master bath & maybe box up some of the clothes in the closet. Harold has gotten a good bit done. I’m not looking forward to office stuff. You know how an office is, a bunch a little stuff that piles up….lol

About the only pictures left up is my Purdue degree of my major, one of my minor, and a picture of the 1st Fannie May Candy store (damn, I miss that place & the people). I have a few little ones of the family, but those aren’t much when it comes to packing, just put it in with my desk stuff.

On an off tangent, I had been at Fannie May so long that when a holiday comes up, I know what is on sale & remember what I would be doing to prepare for it (with Father’s Day, Pixies and other nut things are always on sale….grin)

Finally sent off the book I got for mom, plus a few other things that I could tuck in there. I did it priority (only a buck more) but it didn’t dawn on me that I didn’t put one of those stickers on it that lets them know. I can only hope that they read the postage label……doh, as Homer Simpson would say….lol

I’m exhausted, didn’t get much sleep last night, but ironically feel like doing some sort of project. Of course if I do that, I’ll pass out before even starting….lol
